Replacing Air Valve

Identify and Repair System air leaks

  • Turn off system and drain air compressor as explained in the “Remove Hazardous Energy” section of the Owner’s Manual.
  • Loosen the top two Philips head screws from the valve that needs to be replaced
  • Lift the valve up and out of the manifold connection.
  • Inspect the manifold and old valve.
    • There should be several gaskets on the valve. One that covers the length of the bottom between the two screws, and four on top. One on each of the plastic guide rods, and around the base of the electrical connectors. These should look like O-rings that came in a separate bag with the new valve.

  • Clean the surface of the manifold, making sure the old gaskets were not left behind.
  • Install the new valve onto the manifold, being careful that the gaskets are lining up correctly with the manifold before tightening down using the top screws.
