Diagnose a Valve Failure

Over extended use, internal components of the system could become loose, clogged, or worn and need to be replaced.

1. Check for free movement of the Block and Knife by hand

Fail – fix source of the interference

Pass – next step

2. Check compressor regulator, it should read between 90-100 PSI

Fail – check tank pressure gauge

< 90 PSI follow compressor troubleshooting guide

> 90 adjust regulator

Pass – next step

3. Check Cylinder Regulator, it should read between 60-70 PSI

Fail – adjust regulator

Pass – next step

4. Test Manual Controls – follow instructions for Manual Controls in the manual

Watch for the buttons to change from OFF (Ext Knife), to ON (Knife Ext FB)

Pass – reassemble system and try again

Fail – next step

Listen for Cylinder movement or air flow while holding the button

Pass – follow proximity sensor troubleshooting steps (check the IO screen and verify that the correct input is on, open cabinet check lights, check HMI connection)

5. Turn off system, unplug power cord, open electrical cabinet and troubleshoot

Press the manual valve controls on the valve bank – follow instructions in the video

Fail – call service provider with this information, valve may require maintenance

Pass – press the plug in terminal connectors firmly into the back of the control unit – follow instructions for Check Controller Terminals

Close electrical cabinet, turn system back on and test manual controls again, call service provider if problem persists
