FAQ

Possible Cause: Air compressor is not in auto mode. The pistons are pressure locked. The thermal overload has tripped. Motor contactor is not on.

Answer: Check the pressure switch of the compressor to ensure it is on. Turn the compressor off from the pressure switch to relieve pressure, turn back on after 5 seconds. Turn off the system to allow the compressor to cool, then turn back on.

Possible Cause: Dough pocket is the wrong size. Dough temperature or water content is outside nominal range. Doughball did not blowout completely

Answer: Dough processor requires manual changing of dough pocket to control sizes. Switching recipe will only change between preset timers. Stop system, remove from guard, and change to correct dough pocket.

Dough weights are dependent on dough pocket and dough density. Ensure that your dough temperature and water content is within spec of your recipe. Dough may also be too sticky if too much water is added or final temperature is too hot.

Small doughballs can be an indicator that the doughball did not eject fully. Check doughball for signs that it was cut or torn and not in a uniform ball shape.

If doughball is not ejecting fully check the system for cleanliness, and sufficient oil used on hopper, knife, block, and pocket.  Check that recipe timers are correct, and system pressure is 90 PSI. Inspect equipment: O-rings do not need to be replaced, Blowout plate is firmly locked into place to allow air-tight seal, air lines are not damaged, clogged, and are firmly connected to fittings. Use manual controls to check that blowout is functioning correctly.

If dough is cut before loading into the hopper, ensure not to oil the dough. Oil can prevent dough pieces from rejoining and create a leak path at the seam.

Possible Cause: Lid, gasket, and hopper are not properly assembled

Answer: Gasket installed/not slipping in/in good condition. All lid latches fully latched, tight, and not damaged. Feel around the lid and pressure relief unit for any leaks.

Possible Cause: Air in oil line, incorrect settings, clogged nozzle, low air pressure, pump or valve malfunction.

Answer: Replace oil reservoir if empty, prime oil pump if air present in oil line. Ensure oiler in enabled for active recipe and pump timers sufficient. Clean oil nozzle if clogged. Check that secondary pressure is 60 PSI. Test oiler with manual controls, check controller outputs, valves, and pump are functional.

Possible Cause: System could be Paused and waiting to Resume for start or continue cycle. For Pan operated models, the system may be waiting to detect a pan. The pan may have vibrated out of position or moved when the doughball was placed.

Answer: Use the HMI to resume the cycle.

Ensure pan is fully inserted into system, check I/O point DI 10 to see if the system detects the pan.

Possible Cause: System experienced a fault, dropped under minimum pressure, or reached cycle count.

Answer: Check alarm history for possible cause. Check fault codes for additional information.

Possible Cause: System is in an unsafe state, or an alarm needs to be reset.

Answer: Check alarm screen for active alarms, reset and press start again.

Possible Cause: Dough knife is not moving to allow dough to enter the pocket. Pressure relief device or air line is clogged.

Answer: Check that the U-pin is fully engaged locking the knife to the cylinder movement. Hopper pressure is measured at the regulator, check that no obstructions are preventing air flow to the hopper. Clean the pressure relief device if necessary.

Possible Cause: Button may be pressed but the light is not on, the safety relay may be faulted, or there was a problem on start up.

Answer: Press the estop fully in, then twist to release it again, then reset the fault. Turn off the machine and then turn it back on again, this should hard reset any problems. Ensure all guarding is in place, then check the estop again. Contact support if problem persist.

Possible Cause: System is not receiving electrical power.

Answer: Check that power button is fully pressed into the ON position, plugged in to live outlet, power cord is not damaged.

Possible Cause: System is not on.

Answer: Plug in unit and turn on the power switch.
